  • Range: $30.70 - $46.05 Make a Difference When It Matters Most Join a compassionate oncology team dedicated to supporting patients and families through the cancer care journey. As an Oncology Social Worker, you will provide counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention, and resource coordination while partnering with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Essential Functions Conduct psychosocial assessments for oncology patients and their support systems. Provide counseling, education, emotional support, and crisis intervention. Develop and implement care plans with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team. Facilitate discharge planning and transitions across the care continuum. Connect patients and families with community, financial, and supportive care resources. Advocate for patients by identifying and addressing psychosocial barriers to care. Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and case review meetings. Serve as a resource to staff regarding psychosocial aspects of illness and treatment. Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation in accordance with policy and regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and medical record compliance. Education, Experience & Certifications Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements. One year of hospital, oncology, or healthcare social work experience preferred. Knowledge of psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, care coordination, and community resources. Proficiency with electronic medical records and data management tools. Commitment to the NASW Code of Ethics.

Requirements

Requires a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program and maintenance of state licensure. LCSW and one year of healthcare or oncology social work experience are preferred.
