Emergency nurses collaborate with physicians and radiologic technologists to promote and restore patient’s health by decisively assessing, intervening, and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses in patients of all ages. The emergency nurse is integral in providing physical and psychological support to patients, facility visitors and team members. Due to the range of medical conditions that may require urgent treatment and care the emergency nurse must be knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues. Licenses required.
