Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Night (United States of America) Compensation Range The base pay scale for this position is $70.19 - $78.26.

In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.

What you will be doing As an integral member of our Magnet Nursing team, the successful RN candidate will be focused on – patient advocacy and delivering the highest quality of care to our patients!

As a member of our nursing team, you will demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret age specific and population-specific data and provide appropriate communication level, treatment and care.

Your capacity to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and promote the highest standards of care and safety is critical to the mission of Nursing in HSS.

You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams to maintain the standards of professional nursing practices in the clinical setting.

You will integrate patient care standards in all clinical activities; participate in performance improvement activities to improve patient safety, quality of care and patient outcomes.

The RN will maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when addressing patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers.

Responsibilities

Critical care, clinical competence Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care to adult patients varying in acuity Recognizes and responds appropriately to patient change in condition such as Cardiac rhythm or respiratory distress The ability to work with complex patient care equipment including heart monitors, ventilators, blood pressure monitoring and other life-sustaining equipment Communicates appropriate information and patient advocacy regarding pre-operative / post operative conditions to those who require the information including surgeons and anesthesiologist EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 1+ years’ of acute care experience EXPERIENCE PREFERRED Critical care experience preferred HCAHPS/EPIC knowledge preferred EDUCATION REQUIRED BSN from an accredited school of nursing CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED NYS RN license and registration required AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required Non-Discrimination Policy Hospital for Special Surgery is committed to providing high quality care and skilled, compassionate, reliable service to our community in a safe and healing environment. Requirements

Requires a BSN, NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Candidates must have at least one year of acute care experience, with critical care experience preferred.
