We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Mental Health Technician (MHT) to join our clinical team. The MHT provides direct patient support and supervision within our behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs. This role works closely with nursing staff, therapists, and clinical teams to ensure patient safety, engagement, and therapeutic support.
Provide direct supervision and support to patients in a residential or clinical setting Monitor patient behavior and ensure a safe therapeutic environment Assist with daily living activities and structured programming Support group activities and therapeutic engagement Report behavioral changes to nursing and clinical staff Document patient observations accurately and timely Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transitions Maintain safety protocols and facility guidelines at all times De-escalate situations using approved behavioral intervention techniques
Required High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced behavioral health environment Passion for mental health and patient care Preferred Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or residential treatment settings Crisis intervention or de-escalation training Familiarity with documentation or EHR systems
Salary & Compensation $16 – $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Full-time position Benefits package available
