We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support patients in our behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs. The BHT plays a key role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment while assisting clients in their daily routines and treatment participation.
Supervise and support patients in daily activities and treatment programming Monitor patient behavior and maintain a safe environment Assist with patient engagement in group and individual activities Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients Observe and report behavioral changes to clinical staff Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and incidents Support admissions, discharges, and transitions of care Follow facility policies, safety protocols, and treatment guidelines Assist in crisis prevention and de-escalation as needed
Required High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a behavioral health setting Dependable and compassionate attitude Preferred Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or residential care Crisis prevention or de-escalation training Experience working with vulnerable populations
Salary & Compensation $16 – $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Full-time position Benefits package available
