A Brief Overview The Physician Office Radiologic Technologist performs patient diagnostic radiographs for review and interpretation by Healthcare providers within the protocol set by the area, within company policy and protocol and within defined standards and scope of practice by the SC certifying agency as well as completed other duties as assigned to assist with patient flow and other areas of patient service management within the scope or certification.
What you will do Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations, including positioning patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated Provide excellent patient care and effective communication that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures Performs accurate documentation of patient medical records, including documentation of patient medical history before an exam Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients
Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with Limited Certification in Radiology and Certification as a Medical Assistant Required Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology program Preferred
Experience Qualifications Prior Radiologic experience Preferred Prior Medical office or Hospital based service Preferred
Skills and Abilities Excellent overall customer service skills
Licenses and Certifications Limited Practice Radiographer - South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Required and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - National Healthcareer Association Required or Certified Medical Assistant - American Association of Medical Assistants Required or National Certified Medical Assistant - National Center for Competency Testing Required or Medical Assistant - American Medical Technologist Required Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association within 30 Days Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
