How you'll contribute
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
Performs on call services as requested.
Actively participates and ensures room turnovers are efficient and timely.
Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

As a 222-bed specialty care hospital, UP Health System – Marquette receives patients from across the UP and provides care in 65 specialties and subspecialties. Applicants must have completed a Certified Surgical Technology Program and hold a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) certification. One year of related experience is preferred.
