About the role

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from serious injuries, surgeries, or illnesses in a sub-acute rehab setting. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation of care to help patients regain independence.

24 hours/week, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., every third weekend About Rehab and Nursing Center-Leffingwell The Rehab and Nursing Center – Leffingwell was designed with healing in mind.

The center offers 80 private rooms with beautiful nature views.

Our expert team of nurses and therapists use the latest technology and techniques to maximize independence and mobility to help prepare patients to return home.

As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from serious injuries, surgeries, or illnesses.

Your role is crucial in helping patients regain their independence, improve their quality of life, and return safely to the community.

Scope of work Registered Nurse (RN) Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.

Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA.

This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.

Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Under the direction of the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, contributes to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received, equipment being utilized, and other related activities as appropriate, in coordination with the RN/Mid-level Provider/Physician.

Documents care provided via computer/written patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Required Associates in Nursing MI Registered Nurse (RN) AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) Required High School Diploma Completion of an approved nursing program State of MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) upon hire AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days Preferred Associates in Nursing Healthcare experience #CorewellHealthCareers #ContinuingCare #ResidentialAndRehab

Requirements

Requires a valid Michigan RN or LPN license and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Educational requirements vary by role, ranging from a high school diploma for LPNs to an associate degree in nursing for RNs.
