  • Location: Orlando Health Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting high-quality patient care behind the scenes? Join Orlando Health as a Senior Pathology Laboratory Assistant and play a critical role in supporting pathology and autopsy services while ensuring efficient specimen workflow and laboratory operations. 🔬 What You'll Do ✅ Prepare the autopsy suite and assist pathologists and residents during procedures ✅ Receive, accession, deliver, store, and track pathology specimens ✅ Coordinate specimen workflow and ensure timely processing of samples ✅ Organize and load tissue specimens onto tissue processors ✅ Retrieve, file, and maintain tissue blocks, slides, and pathology specimens ✅ Assist with frozen section processing and specimen triage ✅ Train and support laboratory staff as needed ✅ Monitor inventory and order laboratory supplies ✅ Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards ✅ Serve as a liaison between laboratory staff, physicians, nursing teams, and external partners 🎯 Qualifications ✔ High School Diploma or GED required ✔ Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the department required ✔ Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills ✔ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced laboratory environment ✔ Ability to work flexible hours to support departmental needs 💙 Why Orlando Health? ✨ Collaborative and supportive team environment ✨ Opportunities for professional growth and development ✨ Work alongside leading pathology and laboratory professionals ✨ Make a direct impact on patient care and diagnostic excellence 📢 Join a team dedicated to quality, innovation, and exceptional patient care.
