About the role

Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments while maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. Manage patient records, scheduling, and administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims.

As a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) at Woodbridge Dental, you will play a crucial role in our dental team. You will assist our skilled dentists and dental hygienists in providing outstanding patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office.

Responsibilities

Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures. Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs. Assist dentists during various dental treatments. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area. Sterilize and arrange dental instruments and equipment. Prepare and process dental radiographs (X-rays). Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient records. Perform administrative tasks such as billing and insurance claims. Adhere to strict infection control procedures. Assist during dental emergencies and administer basic life support if needed. Stay updated on dental technology and procedures through continuing education.

Qualifications

Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) Current CPR certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in dental software and office management systems (preferred). Knowledge of OSHA and infection control guidelines. Attention to detail and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
