Work Shift Day (United States of America) Job Summary The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes.
This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions Patient Care Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self and others.
Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings.
Evaluates images for technical quality, performs post processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded.
Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all.
Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner.
Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique and hand washing policies.
Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
Operations Other duties as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
