We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at King Crossing Animal Hospital.
Reports to: Practice Manager

$16.00 - $18.00/hour DOE.

The right candidate must be friendly, outgoing and people oriented. Must be a self-motivated team player who is attentive to detail, effective at oral and written communication, and demonstrates strong technical skills.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.
Must be able to work on computer system and work multi-line telephone.
Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
Must be comfortable restraining animals during medical examinations.
Must have open availability and no scheduling restrictions. Able to work weekends. Please see additional requirements: Animal restraint Collect blood, urine, and other laboratory samples Perform in-house laboratory testing Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Place and maintain IV catheters and administer fluids Educate clients on medications, home care, preventive care, and wellness plans
