The Surgical Technologist (ST) performs technical functions to assist in the delivery of patient care within the Operating Room or other areas of the hospital as assigned. High School graduate or GED required. Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology (civilian or military), Associate of Arts Degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited technical or Liberal Arts College or 10 plus years experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Current HealthCare Provider CPR certification. Certification as a Surgical Technologist under the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist by graduating from a CAAHEP and passing a national certification examination (CST) OR, certification under the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or certification under the Armed Forces (military) Program strongly preferred.
