Accurately fill prescriptions using computerized systems and provide essential patient education and counseling. Supervise pharmacy staff and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy interns while maintaining cost-effective inventory.
This a PRN float position that is based in Palm Coast and will provide coverage in St. Augustine, Palm Coast and Daytona Beach.
Position responsibilities
Fills prescriptions accurately and efficiently using a computerized pharmacy system.
Follows all rules and regulations set by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
Assures adequate and unexpired medications are stocked, properly labeled and inventoried.
Conducts patient education/counseling necessary for pharmacotherapy.
Serves as preceptor for pharmacy interns.
Maintains inventory that is both cost effective and does not inconvenience patient.
Keeps medical staff informed and researches answers questions related to drug therapy in a timely fashion.
Supervises existing and new pharmacy staff on an ongoing basis that includes training and education
Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida. Requires the ability to provide coverage across multiple locations including Palm Coast, St. Augustine, and Daytona Beach.
