Responsible for the daily operations of the cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program and assisting participants with equipment orientation and safety. Provides patient education on cardiovascular risk factors and performs clinical assessments including blood pressure and glucose checks.
This position is responsible for the daily operations of the cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program equipment area.
Position also responsible for assisting participants with equipment orientations.
Monitor Telemetry, provide participants guidance in safe and proper usage of all fitness equipment, performing preventive wellness assessments, baseline assessments, organize and implement programs pertaining to cardiopulmonary rehab and attend health fairs/outside events representing Augusta Health Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program.
Exercise physiologist will also provide education to inpatients discussing cardiovascular risk factors, cardiovascular diagnosis, and benefits to attending the Phase II Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program.
Other duties include: Taking Blood Pressures, Palpate pulse, Pulse Ox saturation and perform blood glucose check.
Experience
1+ year of recent medical surgical or long-term care experience required.
1+ year of Cardiac Rehab experience preferred.
