About the role

The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining anesthesia equipment and ensuring supplies are stocked at adequate levels. They also assist anesthesia providers with patient transfers and the setup of invasive monitoring equipment.

We are currently seeking a passionate individual who is eager to make a difference in a dynamic healthcare environment. The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for maintaining anesthesia equipment, setting up anesthesia locations, and assisting anesthesia providers as requested. Other responsibilities include ordering and stocking supplies, troubleshooting and monitoring equipment, and assisting with transfer of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains supplies and medications at adequate PAR levels.
  • Maintains trauma and heart rooms, ensuring they are always at ready status.
  • Facilitates patient transfers and turnovers between cases.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots problems with anesthesia equipment.
  • Sets up invasive monitoring equipment.
  • Maintains inventory of all equipment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management within job scope.

Qualifications

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required
  • Licensure/Certifications:
  • BLS
  • Required
  • Experience: Less than one year - Anesthesia Technician experience.
  • Preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years anesthesia technician experience with at least community hospital institution helpful.
  • Necessary
  • Skills: 1. Knowledge of anesthesia machines and accessory equipment. 2. Knowledge of ordering and maintaining inventory with special eye toward fiscal responsibility. 3. Must have basic patient care associate knowledge, appropriate to all age groups. 4. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification. While less than one year of experience is required, 1-2 years of experience in a community hospital setting is preferred.
