Chaplain-Resident
Provides spiritual care, assessment, and support to patients, families, and staff within the Medical Center. Coordinates worship services and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to address holistic care needs.
Job Summary Provides for the provision of spiritual care to patients/families/caregivers and staff for the Medical Center. Also works through the Pastoral Care Department to provide pastoral care services to other areas of the Medical Center as needed. Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications: Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree from an accredited school. Minimum Experience: Other: Preferred Job Qualifications Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Preferred Educational Requirements: Graduate level theological degree from an accredited school. Preferred Experience: Prior experience in pastoral ministry in a congregational or clinical setting.

Good verbal and written communication skills Theological and Behavioral Science understanding of human illness and suffering Awareness of cultural and religious understandings of illness and health Computer skills Essential Tasks and Responsibilities Provides spiritual assessment, care and support to patients, families and staff. Organize, coordinate, lead, and/or participate in worship services and rituals for the Medical Center. Work with the multidisciplinary team in assessing the holistic care needs of patients and families. Participate fully in the Clinical Pastoral Education educational curriculum Serve as shift house chaplain to cover the pastoral care needs of the Medical Center after office hours. Performs other related responsibilities as required.
