Provide safe, quality nursing care for patients in an ambulatory outpatient surgery center. Responsibilities include evaluating patient history, administering medications, and coordinating post-surgical pain and airway management.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.
Position Summary: Provides safe, quality patient care in ambulatory outpatient surgery center

Evaluate, plan, implement and document patient care, observations, medications, and medical history 2.
Observe the patient according to appropriate physiological and developmental age 3.
Administer medications following physician orders 4.
Ability to initiate and coordinate pain management; ability to manage patient airway post-surgery 5.
Serve as liaison between patient, family, and surgical team to coordinate all aspects of nursing care and teaching in order to achieve desired outcomes and ensure patient safety 6.
Regular and predictable attendance 7.
Ability to work in a cooperative manner with others 8.
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & abilities
Graduate of accredited post-secondary school of nursing required.
1 year of previous PACU or Critical Care (RF, ICU, or similar) experience required.
Must be computer literate. Basic computer skills required.
Current TN Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
PALS certification preferred.
Ability to immediately recognize and initiate treatment in emergency situations (perform CPR).
Must be able to read and interpret EKG monitor.
Must have knowledge of anesthetic agents used - inhalation, moderate sedation and injection; the usual dosages, symptoms of and toxic amounts, duration of action, contraindications, antidotes, etc.
Able to operate and troubleshoot equipment found in surgery.
