As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will play a vital role in supporting both our patients and clinical team throughout the orthodontic treatment process.

What you'll do: Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.

Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.

Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.

Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.

Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.

Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

Responsibilities

Greeting guests with a smile Assisting Orthodontist with procedures Untying and tying arch-wires Bending and placing arch-wires Fitting bands Preparing for and assisting with bonding Taking impressions Communicating with patients and families Taking x-rays and developing x-rays Taking intraoral and extraoral photographs Utilizing the computer imaging system Sterilizing instruments Pouring up models Inventorying supplies What do you need to have to be a part of our team? Requirements

Candidates must hold an active Registered Dental Assistant license and a current CPR certification. A minimum of one year of specific orthodontic experience and a willingness to travel within assigned areas are required.
