About the role

Operate C-arm equipment in a procedural setting to obtain high-quality imaging results. Prepare patients for exams through effective positioning and by reducing patient anxiety.

  • National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Full Time Radiologic Technologist to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our Babylon location.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday (no weekends or holidays)
  • Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • C-Arm experience preferred

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate C-arm in a procedural setting to obtain optimum imaging results, using technical/clinical knowledge and ability.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures and the exam process by performing effective positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment according to specific instructions, and adjusting exposure controls.
  • Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering any questions.

Requirements

  • A valid and current NY Radiologic Technologist license
  • A valid and current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency
  • C-arm experience preferred
  • Current BLS
  • The capacity to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity
  • Ability to travel, as needed
