Location BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital Title APP High Risk Breast Clinic/Oncology NP or PA-C Description Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its high-performing cancer team at the Bronson Cancer Center – Kalamazoo in Kalamazoo, MI.
Position Highlights: Candidate will provide comprehensive care to diagnose, treat and manage patients with breast disorders, including high-risk patients, patients with breast cancer, benign disease and family history Visits may include but not limited to minor procedures, managing of new breast issues, follow ups for patients with breast cancer, coordinating of tests, other high risk breast issues, consultations and more Collaborative relationship with patients and the NEW high risk breast clinic, Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology/Hematology teams, Breast Surgeons and other internal/external clinicians and support staff Candidate will work alongside six physicians, six APP’s and multiple other clinical staff providing nurse navigation, survivorship, social work, nutritional support, and palliative care Hospital-employed outpatient position working M-F, 8 am to 5 pm.
No Call required currently APP will be willing to participate in risk assessment and genetic counseling coursework if needed
Must have successfully completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with current or pending Michigan licensure. Requires prescriptive authority, a DEA license, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
