The primary goal of this role is to enhance the quality of life for clients by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being in a respectful and dignified manner.

Caregivers will work closely with clients and their families to understand their unique needs and preferences, delivering tailored care that promotes independence and emotional support.

This role involves both physical and emotional engagement, requiring patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships.

Ultimately, the caregiver contributes significantly to the overall health and happiness of those they serve, fostering a supportive environment within the community care setting.

Job responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

Administer medication reminders and monitor clients’ health conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals or family members.

Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.

Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.

Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or errands to support their engagement with the community.

Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Prior experience in caregiving or a related healthcare support role.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet health screening requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and basic literacy to document care activities accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with elderly or disabled populations.
  • Training in dementia care or other specialized care areas.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Additional language skills to support diverse client populations.
