Responsible for obtaining and analyzing patient rhythm strips and documenting them under RN supervision. Additional duties include processing physician orders, maintaining telemetry units, and providing basic patient care such as bathing and grooming.
This position is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN. Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units, ward clerk duties, and patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.
Education: HS Diploma or GED
C.N.A. or Medical Assistant certification required
BLS (Basic Life Saving) - to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
OTHER: EKG Class & Competency
Minimum - up to 1 year job related experience
Preferred - 2 - 5 years of recent job related experience
Requires a High School Diploma or GED along with C.N.A. or Medical Assistant certification. BLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire, and EKG competency is required.
