About the role

The Nurse Clinician supports breast surgeon clinics by providing phone triage, assisting with in-office procedures, and managing patient scheduling. They serve as a subject matter expert for hospital RNs and collaborate with oncology and plastic surgery teams to optimize care plans.

Job Description​ Saint Luke's South has an opportunity for a Nurse Clinician in our Breast Center.

This position supports breast surgeon's clinics and provides phone triage for surgeon's patient group.

Handles patient follow-up calls in conjunction with the nurse navigator.

Assists with in-office procedures.

Schedules appointments, MRIs, follow-ups, and surgery for patients.

Provides patient education on particular procedures and processes.

Is subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.

Regularly collaborates with other disciplines such as medical oncology, plastic surgery, and radiation oncology to share best practices on care plans.

Will have face-to-face contact with patients.

This level only applicable in highly complex specialty areas and specialty areas reflected in external market.

Work generally performed within a specialty clinic setting.

This position is scheduled M-F 8 am until 4:30 pm.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and hold an Associate Degree. Valid nursing licensure in Kansas (KS) or Missouri (MO) is required.
