About the role

The technician will perform standard molecular biology and cell imaging tasks to study mineral and electrolyte physiology. They will collaborate with scientific personnel to analyze data and process tissue specimens from animals.

Our laboratory studies mineral and electrolyte physiology, with a focus on how the kidney tubule handles electrolytes in the context of hypertension, diabetes, and pregnancy and lactation. Our work spans molecular, cellular, and translational approaches to understand these processes and their relevance to human disease. The laboratory technician will work closely with other scientific personnel, including postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and clinical research staff, in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment. Must be able to independently perform standard molecular laboratory tasks, including Molecular biology techniques (e.g. immunobloting) Cell imaging techniques (immunofluorescence confocal microsopy) ELISAs Metabolite measurement Analysis: Graphpad Prism, Excel, FIJI, RedCap Collection and processing of tissue specimens from euthanized animals

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
