The CT Technologist is responsible for arranging patients for examinations and producing high-quality CT images for medical diagnosis. They ensure patient safety through strict adherence to imaging protocols and the safe administration of contrast media.
The CT Tech 2 arranges patients for Computed Tomography examinations.
Produces CT images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
Ensures patient safety by using pre-established imaging protocols, and screens patients for safe administration of contrast media.
Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job.
Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family.
Able to evaluate competency level of others.
Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program with at least one year of experience. Required certifications include a current State License, ARRT (R), CT certification, and BLS-HCP.
