About the role

The Surgical Technologist supports perioperative services by preparing patients and equipment for various surgical procedures. They provide technical assistance to surgeons and maintain strict environmental standards within the operating room.

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The Surgical Technologist I performs various tasks supporting perioperative services. This position assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures and maintaining environmental standards. This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment. The Surgical Technologist measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents, and other solutions.

Qualifications

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma/GED, NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification, and at least one year of surgery experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within 90 days.
