Short Description Assist in the care of patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization (CCL) and electrophysiology (EP) laboratories; primary functions will include: EKGs, transport, assistance with ADL’s, and performance of technical duties as directed by RN; this is including but not limited to: phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, and communication of changes in patients’ status to the RN while responding appropriately.
Participates in maintaining regulatory readiness, Cooper’s patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental goals, and performance improvement projects Experience Required Preferred 1 year of experience with patient care, , EKG certification preferred; upon hire will be trained and certified if previously not obtained.
Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
License/Certification Requirements Must have successfully completed a certified nursing assistant or critical care technician course Obtain and maintain BLS certification, and EKG certification to be maintaind throughout employment; EKG certification will be achieved by the completion of orientation.

Requires a High School Diploma and completion of a certified nursing assistant or critical care technician course. BLS and EKG certifications are required to be maintained throughout employment.
