The Surgical Technician II supports surgeons and personnel by anticipating needs and maintaining a sterile environment during surgical processes. They are also responsible for the decontamination and sterilization of surgical equipment and instruments.
The Surgical Technician II provides support by anticipating the needs of the Surgeon and other surgical personnel by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients during the surgical process while maintaining a sterile work environment at all times. Performs decontamination of equipment, instruments and completes sterilization process. Maintains a positive and professional image when interacting with patients, their families, physicians, employees and general public.

We are hiring for Surgical Technician position in the Labor and Delivery Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!
Position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, 12-hr Night shifts, 36 hours per week.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program and hold a national certification (CST or NCCT) and BLS certification. Operating room experience is required, with a minimum of one year for those with equivalent clinical training.
