Perform patient assessments and administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments in an outpatient cancer treatment room. Educate patients, document interactions, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality patient care.
This is a per diem/casual position working 10-hr day shifts on varied weekdays, generally from 7:30am-6pm.
A minimum of 4 shifts per 4 week schedule is needed.
No weekends or major holidays.
Training will be full time hours for about 4 weeks.
Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines in La Jolla but required to travel to other sites as needed.

Our highly skilled Specialized Services RNs work in an innovative, welcoming, and patient-centered environment.
The department consists of 25 chairs and do an average of 55-70 cancer treatments including oncology infusions and supporting treatments.
The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team.
Treating all malignancy types, we have a compounding pharmacy on site and are proud of our patient outcomes.
What you'll do: Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate.
Educate patients and document patient interactions.
Practice infection control.
Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice #LI-JS1
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. Completion of accredited RN program. Minimum 1 year RN experience. Current CA RN license. Current American Heart Association BLS certificate. Direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
1 or more years RN experience in an outpatient Oncology setting. Excellent IV skills and experience with central venous catheters. Outpatient chemo infusion experience is strongly preferred.
Requires a current CA RN license, BLS certification, and an ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. Candidates must have at least one year of RN experience with direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
