  • Summary: Provides clinical pharmacy services throughout the hospital. Assists in staffing surgery satellite and central pharmacy in distribution areas as needed.

  • Responsibilities: Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Reviews, interprets, and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Oversees and coordinates Pharmacy Technician activities as needed to ensure maintenance of a smooth workflow and all service standards are met. Models and helps maintain a professional atmosphere in the Pharmacy aligning with Owensboro Health's Core Commitments. May apply interpersonal skills and techniques to deescalate and/or attempt to resolve the conflict between two or more team members

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy and a valid Pharmacist license (R.Ph.) in the state of Kentucky. No prior work experience is required for this position.
