About the role

The practitioner plans and delivers a variety of respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies. They are also responsible for documenting care, maintaining equipment, and completing patient billing.

Plans, prepares, and delivers a broad range of respiratory care procedures and diagnostic studies. Documents all respiratory care on appropriate records. Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory care equipment. Completes patient billing.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care Program at an AMA approved college/university, Or
  • Bachelor's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program from an AMA approved college/university in lieu of an Associate's Degree and 1 year of experience.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
  • Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License (Vendor Managed) - if practicing within this state upon hire.
  • 1 year experience (May include clinical portion of training program).

Preferred Qualification

• Flight Training.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Requirements

Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care and a Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with at least one year of experience preferred.
