A Brief Overview The Clinic Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care as reflected in the SC LPN scope of practice including health data collection, administering medications, implementing patient interventions, assessing patient responses, and basic health teaching.
What you will do Perform medication pre-authorizations and refill requests Provide follow-up to lab results and medication changes Assisting physician with patient set-up and preparations Perform nurse visits and patient education Triaging incoming phone calls Check-in and check-out when needed Rooming patients and performing data collections, vitals, EMR input Sending outgoing referrals and managing fax in-box / distributing faxes to proper staff Ordering / managing general inventory and office supplies Assist with staff training
Education Qualifications High School Diploma Required: Experience Qualifications 2 years previous experience as an LPN Preferred
Skills and Abilities Possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those related to nursing. Computer knowledge required. Phlebotomy skills and experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications Licensed Practical Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing Preferred Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
