Optional team members are required to work three shifts in a six-week scheduling period. For optional team members who work in areas that are open on weekends, one of those shifts must be worked on the weekend, which is defined as Friday night shift, Saturday day/night shift and Sunday day/night shift. Holidays are required to work two holidays per year, as assigned by the manager. Of the two holidays, one holiday will be a major (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year) and one holiday will be a minor (Memorial Day, Fourth of July or Labor Day).
This position contributes to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and documenting objective and subjective data. This position also participates in the development of the Nursing component of the plan of care at the direction of an RN, physician, dentist, podiatrist, or optometrist, and implements the plan of care by providing direct basic nursing care in accordance with the LPN scope of practice set forth in the Nurse Practice Act. Contributes to the evaluation of client responses to nursing care and documents in an accurate and timely manner.
Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in Nursing Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Licensed Practical Nurse NAPNES certification-if graduated prior to 1988 Current RN licensure is also acceptable Basic knowledge of the Biological, Physical, Behavioral, Social, and Nursing sciences
