The Inpatient Therapist provides direct clinical care, including psychosocial assessments and therapy for patients on eating disorder and psychiatric units. Responsibilities also include case management, crisis intervention, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

The Inpatient Therapist provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Director.

This is a Per Diem position for coverage as needed.

Pay

$32.20-$52.00/hour depending on education and experience #LI-ONSITE

Responsibilities: Include:

Provide clinical social work and case management consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care Conduct psychosocial assessments, participate in treatment planning, and discharge planning for assigned cases Manage cases on both the inpatient eating disorder unit and inpatient psychiatric unit.

Conduct individual, group and family therapy.

Conduct crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources.

Work to ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely and profession manner.

Work collaboratively with the treatment team and Walden continuum.

Maybe required to support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.

Qualifications

Education

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing direct clinical care in a mental health setting
  • Licensure/Certification: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, LMFT, preferred or license-eligible
  • CPR certification, required
  • Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group process, therapeutic relationships, age specific growth and development, behavior management and crisis management

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling and have at least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting. Required or preferred certifications include LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, PhD, PsyD, or LMFT, along with a mandatory CPR certification.
