Summary: This position assists the physician and Clinical RN during all phases of the procedural periods. Incumbents are also responsible for cleaning and terminal sterilization of scopes and instrumentation, and labeling and handling pathology/laboratory specimens. This position is located in a combination of inpatient/outpatient settings. Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions: Job Specifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred Experience: A minimum of six months’ full-time equivalent experience as an Ambulatory Services Assistant, Surgical Assistant, or comparable job classification at Marin General Hospital; A minimum of one year full-time equivalent hospital or related medical care experience as an Endoscopy Technician or comparable position. License and Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire. Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) Required within 30 days of hire. Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred at hire. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) preferred at hire.
