One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Monitor Tech, you will be responsible for continuous observation and analysis of patients' cardiac rhythms to detect and report changes.Every day, you will meticulously monitor EKG strips, identify arrhythmias, measure intervals, and promptly communicate critical findings to nursing staff and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate documentation.To be successful, you will demonstrate sharp observational skills, a thorough understanding of cardiac rhythms, and the ability to act quickly and precisely under pressure, crucial for patient safety and timely intervention.
Meets annual competency requirement before evaluation date.
Performs the duties of a monitor technician with consistency, accuracy, and according to hospital policies and procedures.
Able to perform monitoring duties during emergency procedures.
Performs the duties of a unit secretary with consistency, accuracy, and according to hospital policies and procedures.
Participates in team conferences, team and shift reports, and performance improvement activities.
Maintains open and effective communication.
This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
