Overview Registered Nurse – ER in a Critical Access Hospital located in Fort Bragg, California.

This is a travel, temporary assignment starting on 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks.

Weekly pay ranges from $1,692 to $1,812 per week.

Guaranteed hours are 36 per week.

Shift is night (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) across a 3x12 schedule.

This role focuses on emergency department care in a rural, critical access setting.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care in the ED, including rapid assessments, triage, monitoring, and treatment of diverse emergent conditions
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, analgesia, antibiotics, and monitor for adverse effects; adjust plans per physician orders
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to implement patient care plans and ensure timely interventions
  • Perform skilled nursing tasks: vital signs, ECG monitoring, wound care, IV management, and escalating to medical staff as needed
  • Ensure patient safety, infection control, documentation in the electronic health record, and compliant handoffs during shift changes
  • Provide patient and family education, support discharge planning, and coordinate referrals as appropriate
