24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital.

Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations.

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows.

Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty.

Scope of Work: In collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides therapeutic services including evaluation, treatment, and education.

Monitors the treatment activities of COTA’s and aides.

Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice.

Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice.

Completes all documentation of services per department standards.

Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards.

Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.

Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.

Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department’s/unit’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.

Maintains updated license and submits evidence of status to supervisor/manager within two weeks of receipt of new or updated license.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited OT school with a current State OT license and BLS certification. Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience is preferred.
