Perform MRI scans following established protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage patient screening, contrast administration, and the transmission of images to PACS for radiologist review.

As a MRI Technologist at Optim Orthopedics, you will be an integral part of the imaging team and patient experience. The MRI Technologist should be competent in:
· Flexible work schedule preferred
· Available for evenings and possible weekend shifts
· Reviews MRI screening questionnaires with patients, as well as, being informed of MR safe vs. MR unsafe implants
· Clearly and professionally explains what to expect during the MRI scan
· Answers any questions and puts the patients mind at ease
· Inputs patient’s information into MRI scanner with accuracy
· Positions patient on MRI table while protecting patients’ dignity
· Provides hearing protection
· Ensures the patient’s comfort level is met
· Completes scanning the anatomy with regards to scanning protocols in place.
· Follows the CDC standard precautions guidelines for venipuncture and injecting MRI contrast
· Administers the correct MRI contrast dose by following the proper dosing chart
· Assists patients off the table and instructs him/her the results will be sent to their ordering provider
· Sends images to PACS and includes a brief history for the Radiologist
· Disposes of confidential information in the proper shred container

Associate’s Degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging preferred with a minimum of 2 years.
Must be ARRT registered and in good standing
CPR certification / BLS certification
Computer Skills: EHR (Athena), Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, Avreo, Merge PACS
Requires ARRT registration and CPR/BLS certification. An Associate's Degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and at least 2 years of experience are preferred.
