About the role

The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care and provides education for patients based on their illness and treatment. They are responsible for delivering quality care in surgical services and assisting surgeons and anesthesia personnel.

The Registered Nurse manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

This position provides care and education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment.

This position is responsible for the delivery of quality care in designated areas of surgical services while meeting standards as set forth by the state, regulatory agencies, and facility policies and procedures.

This position performs technical skills and provides assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and other professionals in the facility.

This position maintains knowledge and skills required to perform as a professional registered nurse as well as those specific surgical services departments.

This position promotes teamwork with all surgical team members and other departments.

This position manages supplies and equipment effectively.

Requirements

Candidates must have a nursing diploma, associate, or bachelor's degree and a valid Florida or compact state RN license. BLS certification from the American Heart Association and proficiency in acute care nursing are required.
