About the role

The coordinator will support research activities for the SPARC-XP and JASPer-MH studies, focusing on participant recruitment, screening, and visit coordination. Job Summary The Clinical Research Coordinator will support research activities across two primary areas: the SPARC-XP study (50%) and the JASPer-MH Study (50%).

SPARC-XP Study Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and obtain informed consent from study participants
  • Coordinate and schedule participant study visits
  • Conduct and lead study visits in accordance with protocol
  • Collect, manage, and organize study data while ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and data integrity
  • JASPer-MH Study responsibilities
  • Facilitate participant recruitment and prepare recruitment tracking reports
  • Communicate regularly with study team members to support study coordination
  • Assist with participant communication, scheduling, and remuneration
  • Contribute to literature reviews and manuscript preparation

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining compliance with research protocols and institutional guidelines.

  • Essential Functions
  • Assists with determining the suitability of study subjects and acts as a resource for patients and families.
  • Has input into recruitment strategies and may contribute to protocol recommendations.
  • Administers scores and evaluates study questionnaires.
  • Maintains research data, patient files, regulatory binders, and study databases.
  • Performs data analysis and QA/QC checks and organizes and interprets data.
  • Assists with preparation for annual review and assists PI in completing study reports and presentations.
  • May assist with training and orientation of new staff members.

Qualifications: Education Bachelor's Degree Science required

Experience Related post-bachelor's degree research experience 1-2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work more independently and as a team member.
  • Computer literacy, analytical skills, and ability to resolve technical problems.
  • Ability to interpret the acceptability of data results.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Science is required, though equivalent experience may be accepted. Candidates must have 1-2 years of post-bachelor's degree research experience and proficiency in data management programs.
