Provides direct patient care and support by performing selected nursing procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assists medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients on a post-interventional telemetry unit.
Unit Description: 6B is a 23 bed post interventional telemetry unit. Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoral sheaths and Tikosyn administration. Medical and post-procedural patients are cared for on this unit in addition to complex GI Oncology surgical post-op patients and inpatients needing chemotherapy and telemetry.
Shift: Part-Time, Nights
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures Performs routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or successful completion of first year of a Nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation. (Must provide a letter from school verifying completion of first year clinicals.) Basic Life Support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don’t have it already.
