Description Wound Care RN needed in busy patient area. The Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of care for patients with acute, chronic, and non-healing wounds. The Wound Care RN serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff and providers, promotes evidence-based wound management practices, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and prevent complications related to skin integrity. Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities Performs comprehensive wound, ostomy, and skin assessments for inpatient and outpatient populations. Develops individualized wound care treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members. Provides direct patient care including dressing changes, debridement assistance, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), compression therapy, and other advanced wound treatments within scope of practice. Monitors wound healing progress and modifies treatment plans as appropriate. Documents assessments, interventions, patient progress, and outcomes in the electronic medical record. Coordinates referrals to specialty services, home health, rehabilitation, and community resources as needed. Participates in pressure injury prevention initiatives and skin integrity programs.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Licensure/Certification Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma in good standing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Wound Care Certification preferred or required within two years of hire: Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) Wound Care Certified (WCC) Experience Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience preferred. Previous experience in wound care, medical-surgical nursing, home health, long-term care, or critical care preferred.
