  • Conditions: The CMA works primarily in the healthcare community environment. It is possible that the work may include limited exposure to residents' infectious conditions involving Risk Classification Categories 1, 2, and 3**. Environmental conditions will fluctuate. To be qualified for the position, applicants and teammates will have the ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to themselves or others. *

  • Effort: The CMA works primarily in a healthcare community environment and must be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet resident/family needs and deadlines.

  • Functions: Communicate effectively with residents, families, other teammates, and supervisor Prepare and administer medications per physician orders and in accordance with federal/state regulations and facility policies Perform vital signs as assigned and document Communicate any reported/observed condition changes to charge nurse and document in Care Tracker Document resident conditions and needs in all EHRs according to facility procedures Reports all incidents and/or complaints according to facility procedures Promotes resident independence, interacts with residents in a manner promoting mental and physical well-being. Perform daily care per the resident's care plan, observed needs, and within regulations and facility standards of care and policies. Monitor and assist with ordering and care of resident's supplies and prescriptions Recognize, respond, and make prompt and accurate judgments with regard to resident care needs. Maintain the resident's environment in a safe and tidy manner, including adherence to infection control practices. Perform assigned tasks in accordance with facility policies and procedures Perform C.N.A. duties as assigned. Perform other assignments as requested. Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma and current CMA and CNA certifications. A minimum of one year of related experience is required, with five years preferred.
