Work collaboratively on a team-based model that includes a great mix of 13 Physicians and 13 Advanced Practice Providers along with a strong team of nurses, techs and ancillary staff within our Heart & Vascular Department. Full-time position, 1.0 FTE Clinic Mon-Fri 8a-5p General cardiology & heart failure clinic Treat clinic patients (12 per day) 3-4 days of clinic outreach/telemedicine per month in regional locations for heart failure patients Supervision of stress testing Cardiology background preferred and requires licensure and DEA in both ND and MN Skill set includes but not limited to independent clinic visits, vast knowledge of heart & vascular pathophysiology, and strong patient communication and educational skills
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing or a Bachelor's/Master's in Physician Assistant Studies with licensure in both North Dakota and Minnesota. Must hold current CPR and ACLS certifications and complete the Essentia Health credentialing process.
