Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED 1. One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant. 2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED 1. Certified as Medical Assistant. 2. Two years patient care experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting Work Hours: 7 am - 5 pm
Requires at least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant and a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Certification as a Medical Assistant and two years of ambulatory or acute care experience are preferred.
