About the role

The LPN is responsible for recording patient medical histories, monitoring vital signs, and administering prescribed medications and treatments. Additionally, they provide essential daily care and emotional support to patients while communicating updates to families.

Essential

Duties: and Responsibilities:

1.

Record a patient’s medical history accurately 2.

Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.

3.

Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.

4.

Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts 5.

Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.

6.

Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks 7.

Collect samples for lab testing as assigned 8.

Provide emotional and psychological support when needed 9.

Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Requirements

  • 1.
  • Proven experience as LPN or similar role 2.
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team 3.
  • Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures 4.
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices 5.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology 6.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry 7.
  • Perfect physical condition and stamina 8.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 9.
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress 10.
  • Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
