About the role

Provide professional nursing services including patient assessment, treatment administration, and the formulation of individualized care plans. Coordinate with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to manage patient progress and discharge needs.

Part-Time, Regular RN Float under Nursing Administration | Schedule

  • minimum of 20 hours each week, variable |
  • Pay: Paygrade 12, Hourly, Depending on experience

Job Purpose or Objective(s)

The Nurse Staff RN renders professional nursing services in the treatment and care of assigned patients. You will provide for the comfort and well-being of patients by assessing condition, providing treatments, and documenting progress and other observations. You will report to the Manager.

Primary Tasks

1. Provide direct patient assessment and planning for individualized patient care.

2. Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s condition.

3. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

4. Formulate individualized plan of care.

5. Revise individualized plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment; evaluate overall plan for effectiveness daily.

6. Evaluate discharge needs and coordinate with multi-health care disciplines in planning for care after discharge.

7. Assess pain management techniques and educate the patient and family regarding pain management.

8. Identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family.

9. Administer drugs, blood, and solutions according to medical and surgical policies and protocols.

10. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required Education and Experience: · Associate degree in nursing

· Current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing

· Current CPR certification

Requirements

Requires an Associate degree in nursing and current RN licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing. Current CPR certification is also mandatory.
