About the role

Ensures the efficiency and safety of the GI Lab by managing equipment setup, processing, and storage. Provides direct patient care, including monitoring and answering questions, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Salary Range

$25.43 - $34.68 / hour The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Responsibilities

Provides functions within the daily operation of the GI Lab to ensure department efficiency and safe, timely care of patients. Instrument technicians perform many non-nursing functions related to equipment set up, handling, processing and storage. Position requires direct patient contact involving provision of answers to appropriate patient questions, application of monitoring equipment and discharge of patients. Performs clerical duties and provides general care to patients under the supervision of the licensed nurse.

Qualifications

Required: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Basic knowledge of medical terminology Preferred: SGNA GI Tech Certification Bilingual Health Care Experience Overview Nationally Recognized.
